Puerto Rican Pasteles

Puerto Rican Pasteles

Overview

Learn how to make delicious Puerto Rican Pasteles from scratch!

Join Mía’s Cocina for a hands-on class and learn how to make traditional Puerto Rican pasteles from scratch!

Maria Bido, host of the cooking series La Cocina de Loisaida, will guide you step-by-step through preparing traditional masa made with green bananas, yautía and green plantains, along with a rich and flavorful pork filling. You’ll then learn how to assemble and wrap your pasteles like little regalitos to enjoy during the holiday season.

Each participant will make six pasteles to take home and share with family and friends. You’ll also receive the recipes and instructions for properly storing and cooking your pasteles. Of course, we’ll enjoy finished pasteles together during the class!

Please note: This class features traditional masa and a traditional pork filling.
