Workshop: Creative Writing in English

Evening workshop in creative writing in English with Odessa Fardipour. Do you have a story waiting to be told?

17:00 - 19:00 | Creative writing in English - workshop

Do you have a story waiting to be told, or do you simply want to sharpen your ability to communicate with clarity and depth?

Whether you are an aspiring novelist, a blogger, or someone looking to boost your confidence in English, this workshop is for you. You don’t need to be a professional writer to participate. If you have a basic grasp of English and a desire to explore your imagination, and expand your English vocabulary, you’re in the right place.

Come prepared to write, share (only if you want to!), and leave with a treasure chest of new words, images and flavours.

To keep the inspiration flowing and the atmosphere festive, we will enjoy some wine, pizza and non-alcoholic options. Writing is always more fun when shared with good company and great snacks!

Why Join This Workshop?

Creative writing is more than just putting words on a page. By joining this workshop you will:

• Expand your English vocabulary
• Develop "out-of-the-box" thinking that applies to both professional and personal projects.
• Find your unique voice and learn how to capture a reader's attention from the very first sentence.

Exercises

• The Power of "Show, Don’t Tell": Stop telling your readers that a character is "nervous"—learn how to show it through their trembling hands and the sweat on their brow. We’ll practice turning abstract statements into vivid, cinematic descriptions.
• Character Building & Atmosphere: Learn how to create worlds that feel real and characters that breathe.
• Sensory Writing: Engage all five senses to make your writing truly immersive.

The workshop takes place at Frilans Finans open meeting place for freelancers on Gamla Brogatan 13 in Stockholm (closest station: Hötorget).
