Temperance- Magic in the Medicine

Come join this month's discussion on the Temperance card! Please bring a deck if you have one- there will be a few extra on hand though if you need it. All levels welcome.

Once we have passed through the portal of the Death card, we find renewal in Temperance, the Sagittarius card. As we move beyond the Two Towers we find the angel of Temperance (often characterized as Archangel Michael in the RWS), and one of the four Cardinal Virtues. The crown, trampled under the horse in the Death card, is now radiating from the center of the Sun in Temperance. It is a card of alchemical integration and healing. A way of seeing or being has ended with Death, and the new and old are reconfigured in Temperance. In the following card, The Devil, we are plunged back into the trappings of the material world and the maya (illusions) of desire and the human condition.
