Join Ashton Hiking Club for a women-only walk through Swallows Wood and the countryside around Arnfield Reservoir, near Tintwistle.

Step away from your everyday routine and enjoy woodland paths, waterside views and the colours of late autumn. We’ll take time to notice the little things, pause for photographs and enjoy being outdoors together.

Whether you’re coming alone or bringing a friend, you’ll find a welcoming group of women to share the experience with.

🍃 Walk starts: 10:30 AM

We’ll allow time for lunch, photographs and rest stops. The finish time is approximate and may vary with conditions and the group’s pace.

Outside the Thai restaurant in the Arnfield Fly Fishery car park
Crossgate Lane, Tintwistle

Parking and toilets are free. Please allow enough time to park, use the facilities and register before we set off.

🥾 COME PREPARED

Bring sturdy walking boots with good grip, warm layers, a waterproof jacket, hat and gloves, packed lunch, snacks and water. Please also carry any personal medication and a fully charged phone.

Woodland paths can be muddy and slippery in November, so suitable footwear is essential.

Please let Farzana know privately before the walk about any medical condition, injury or support need that could affect your participation. Knowing your needs beforehand helps us plan and support you on the day.

The route may be amended or the walk cancelled if conditions are unsafe.
