1-Rehearsal, Drunk! Comedy of Errors

Come out for Kulturkanonen's 1-rehearsal, Drunk! Comedy of Errors at the Vino - a combined show and party!

1 Rehearsal, DRUNK! Comedy of Errors - At the Vino

Come Kulturkanonen for an evening of drunken Shakespearian hijinx at the Vino Theater! KulturKanonen is fundraising for New Sanctuary Coalition with this performance of DRUNK! Comedy of Errors.

Our talented and drink-sodden friends will attempt to perform Comedy of Errors after just one (count 'em!) rehearsal, and shall reap the rewards as well as the punishments! Shot tokens will be available for purchase, which you can at any time bestow upon an actor of your choice during the performance.

KulturKanonen is a Swedish-American theatre company dedicated to amplifying queer voices, with a focus on one-rehearsal DRUNK! Shakespeare, and other adaptations of Shakespeare’s plays. Founded in late 2024 in Brooklyn, NY, Kulturkanonen has helped queer actors by providing a performance platform to sharpen their classical chops, develop new work, and harbor creativity.

As an immigrant-founded company that has worked with many immigrant actors, we

want to support the immigrant community of NYC--that's why we are donating all proceeds from ticket sales and donations to New Sanctuary Coalition. This charity has been led by and for immigrants to stop the inhumane system of deportations and detentions in America. Their small and scrappy team works with an army of over 500 volunteers to provide person-to-person support to hundreds of immigrants.

Plus, for the first time ever, we'll be offering two shows! Join us on 11/14 at 8pm, or 11/15 at 7pm for our "hair of the dog" performance.

11/14 at 8pm, doors at 8:30

11/15 at 7pm, doors at 7:30

In addition to the performance, we will be having a mixer before each show, during which you will have the opportunity to meet and greet fellow friends from local theatre groups and learn more about what they do and how you might be able to get involved.
