Stoop Storytellers: Democracy in Our Lives

Democracy is shaped not only by institutions and elections, but also by the experiences people carry, the communities they build, and the stories they choose to share.

Join the SNF Agora Institute and Baltimore’s Stoop Storytelling Series for an evening of true, personal stories exploring democracy, civic life, belonging, participation, and the ways people find—and use—their voices. Through stories drawn from lived experience, the program will consider how public life is experienced at the personal level and how listening across differences can deepen understanding and connection.

The Stoop Storytelling Series is a Baltimore-based organization that builds community by helping everyday people share the extraordinary true stories of their lives. Its live performances create space for humor, vulnerability, reflection, and recognition across diverse experiences.

A reception will follow the program.
