OVJ Collective is a New Orleans Latin music band whose name is an acronym for its three founding musicians: vocalist Ovi Giron, pianist Victor Campbell, and drummer and percussionist Jafet Perez. Self-described as bringing the city's only "Spanglish sound" to life, the group fuses salsa, bachata, funk, and traditional New Orleans grooves into music built to move a dance floor. The collective is a regular presence on WWOZ 90.7 FM's live studio showcases.
