Vladimir Cetkar Jazz-Soul-Funk Ensemble at Aretha's Jazz Cafe, Detroit

A rare night with international soul-funk sensation Vladimir
Cetkar - where sophistication meets seduction. Fresh off sold-out shows
around the world, Cetkar brings his signature blend of funk, soul, and
jazz to the Aretha's Jazz Cafe for an evening that’s equal parts elegance
and electricity.
Hailed by TIME OUT NYC as “a Macedonian soul man mashing disco and
fusion into luxurious pop concoctions—think George Michael fronting
Steely Dan in a cocktail bar,” Cetkar is redefining modern groove.

A true renaissance artist—composer, guitarist, vocalist, arranger, and
producer—he crafts lush, feel-good soundscapes that shimmer with
romance, rhythm, and precision.
Born in Ohrid, Macedonia and educated at Berklee College of Music,
Cetkar channels the golden era of Chic and Earth, Wind & Fire through a
contemporary lens, creating music that’s as timeless as it is fresh. His
critically acclaimed albums We Will Never End, Heavenly, Going Home, and
Let Us Be have catapulted him to stages across the globe—from the Blue
Note Jazz Festival to Java Jazz, Sziget, and Jarasum Jazz
Festival—earning him a reputation as one of the most exciting voices in
jazz-soul-funk today.
Expect irresistible hooks, lush arrangements, and grooves that make you
move—because when Vladimir Cetkar takes the stage, the night comes
alive.
