Children will spread holiday cheer for families supported by People In Need of Delaware County.
Who this Anywhere Project is for:
Ages 2 to 12. Not sure if this project is the right fit for your kids? Email us with questions at programs@seedsofcaring.org.
What you'll be doing:
Holidays are a great time for families to create special memories. But, some families don’t have enough money to pay for extras like treats and games even though they are working really hard. Kind kids will explore gratitude through a hands-on activity before spreading holiday cheer by packing kits with simple treats and a family friendly card game for People In Need of Delaware County.
When you'll be doing it:
This Anywhere Project can be done at home, school, or wherever you are!
This project is on-going. Families and groups may participate anytime until the project ends on December 6th. Donations may be contact-free, porch-dropped from 9am - 7pm December 4-6 at a Seeds of Caring Ambassador’s home in Powell, Grandview, or Grove City. Addresses are provided in the service packet.
How it all works:
Once you have completed registration, you will receive a confirmation email from Eventbrite with a link to your service packet. This packet includes project instructions, guided discussions and more. If for some reason you cannot access this file, please email programs@seedsofcaring.org for assistance.
Is this your first Seeds of Caring Anywhere Project? Check out this video to learn how it all works.
The meaning-making:
Engaging children’s hearts and minds before getting their hands active with service is a vital step in raising caring, compassionate humans. In every Seeds of Caring service packet, you'll find quick, easy-to-use guides to support you in leading meaning-making conversations! This project's guided discussion focuses on gratitude and service.
Approximate Cost:
$7 for 1 kit containing 1 package of microwave popcorn, 4 packets of hot cocoa, and 1 family friendly card game like Uno. More details provided in your service packet.
Why you'll be invited to donate:
Every time we're able to design, coordinate, and offer an opportunity for kids to give back, it's with the help of supporters like you. Please consider making a generous gift to help us continue to empower kids to create a kinder community with their hearts, hands, and minds.
This service opportunity is made possible through the generous support of The Center for HumanKindness and The Walter Foundation.
