Children's Atlas of Wine X Heritage Wines:
Underrated Wine Regions - A Class & Tasting
The world of wine has gotten wider, and wilder. There are people doing meaningful, interesting work in all sorts of places that wouldn’t have made it into a wine 101 geography lesson 20 years ago.
In regions long thought of as good for nothing but jug wine for campesinos or vin ordinaire for thirsty farmers, a new generation is finding things that have been in those places all along and treating them with attention and care.
The result is a kaledeiscope of exciting bottles, but it can also feel overwhelming.
From Slovakian borderlands to green Spain to extinct French volcanoes to the Sierra Foothills and beyond, we’ll explore a few of the places where the future of wine is being grown right now, and put the wines we taste into context.
Tickets include 5 tastes of places that might not be on your radar but should be, 15% off any featured bottle at Heritage Wines next door, and an hour and a half interactive class with James Sligh of the Children’s Atlas of Wine.
Drink Curiously is a series of introductory classes focused on providing entry points for curious drinkers.
