The Memory Edit: Personal Collage Art Workshop
Turn memories, colors, and textures into a personal framed collage at a relaxing, beginner-friendly Seattle paper art workshop.
The Memory Edit: Personal Collage Art Workshop
Some memories deserve more than a place in your camera roll.
- A train ticket.
- A color you associate with a certain season.
- A handwritten phrase.
- A place you keep thinking about.
- A pattern from somewhere you loved.
- A detail that would mean very little to someone else—but something to you.
The Memory Edit is an intimate paper-art workshop where small visual fragments become a personal framed collage.
Over one relaxed creative evening, you will work with:
- curated papers;
- textured materials;
- typography fragments;
- color combinations;
- simple composition prompts.
The process is built around:
SELECT → LAYER → EDIT → FRAME
You do not need to arrive with a dramatic story.
Your collage can be inspired by:
- a place;
- a color;
- a season;
- a mood;
- a phrase;
- a memory;
- a simple visual idea.
Your collage can be personal without being private.
You are never required to explain:
- why a memory matters;
- who it involves;
- what happened;
- what your finished piece means.
The facilitator provides practical guidance around:
- color;
- layering;
- balance;
- negative space;
- editing;
- assembly.
You remain in control of the story and the artwork.
At the end of the workshop, you will frame your finished piece and take it home.
