An Evening in the Veneto

Join Chicagoland Italian American Professionals for a guided evening exploring the wines of Italy's Veneto region — one of Italy's great wine landscapes, stretching from Venice to the Alps and home to everything from crisp sparkling Prosecco to rich, age-worthy Amarone.

Your Guide for the Evening: Alicia Barrett Leading the tasting is Alicia Barrett, a Professional Wine Educator with formal training through the Wine & Spirit Education Trust in London — one of the most respected wine education bodies in the world — and eight years of experience as Head of Wine Education at Binny's Beverage Depot, one of the country's leading wine retailers.

Over her eight years leading wine education at Binny's, Alicia has made it her craft to help people understand wine — what is in the glass, why it tastes the way it does, and how to talk about it with confidence. For this evening, she will guide us through each wine in the flight: the grapes behind it, the corner of the Veneto it comes from, and what to look for as you sip. Whether you are a seasoned wine lover or brand new to Italian wines, you will leave knowing how to taste — and order — with confidence. The Wines:
