ABOUT REWRITE YOUR STORY: How to Step Into Your Power And Get The Love You Deserve:
Transforming your love life begins with changing the story you believe about your worth.
Our childhood directly influences how we love and who we love. As adults, we are left to make sense of how our early experiences continue to impact our relationships, our choices, and the way we feel about ourselves. But understanding the past is only the beginning. The deeper work is learning how to love yourself, trust yourself, and make conscious choices that are no longer dictated by old wounds.
Bestselling relationship expert Jillian Turecki has unlocked the door to healthy relationships: Unfinished business from the past holds us back, but we have the power to rewrite these stories, break painful patterns, and open ourselves to the secure, lasting love we deserve.
When Jillian was a child, her psychiatrist father published a bestselling parenting book about “difficult” children—based on her. For decades, Jillian was haunted by this label, and by her struggles with her father, until she rewrote her story, so she could have healthier relationships. Now, in Rewrite Your Story, she maps a clear framework for how to:
- Accept yourself and become securely attached
- Heal your inner child and transform your romantic relationships
- Forgive yourself and others and finally let go of the stories that haunt you
- Overcome the need for your parents’ approval so that you can choose yourself and live the life you were meant to live
- Transform what made your childhood difficult into your greatest source of personal power
- Repair your challenging relationships with family members
Combining personal narrative, riveting case studies, relational psychology, and clear, practical tools, Rewrite Your Story shows you how to transform your relationships so you can finally feel free to be—and be loved for—who you truly are.
