Painting with Pigeons

Join us for a fun evening of painting for a purpose while meeting some new feathered friends!

Colorado Rescue Rangers assists with wildlife rescues, advice and transport in the Denver/Boulder area and one of the most common calls we get is injured, sick or orphaned pigeons. Our goal is always to rehabiliate, raise and release whenever possible and many of our pigeons patients have been released into local flocks successfully! Other pigeons though, the wonky ones we call them, that are not releaseable due to injury, domestication, unique coloration or various other reasons, we foster and adopt into loving forever homes. Having pigeons is legal in Colorado and they are wonderful, intelligent and emotional companions.

Because pigeons are considered 'feral domestics', finding a vet or wildlife rehab facility that will treat them can be difficult in many places. Colorado Rescue Rangers is helping fill that need and we've been successfully doing that for a year with over 30 pigeons rescued and released or adopted. And by we I mean a very small team of passionate volunteers who go above and beyond for pigeons. And you can help us do that!

By coming to our Painting with Pigeons fundraiser, you are helping us build a fortified outdoor flight enclosure for our almost-release-ready birds so they can safely adjust to the outdoors and get maximum flight practice in before being added to a flock. This is an essential part of a birds rehab and we want to make sure our pigeon palace is safe, secure and maybe a little stylish. Because, why not.

Each ticket includes a 2 hour paint along tutorial with a Bob Ross-esque art guide, one 8 x 11 canvas for you to take home, art supplies, snacks and pigeon meet & greet.

Beverages are available for purchase at the Creepatorium.
