The Way of the Rain–Hope for Earth Film | Texas Premiere Oct 22 @ DMA

An in-person concert-film event for the general public, featuring creator Sibylle Szaggars Redford in person.

The film

EarthX, The Way of the Rain, Inc., and M3 – Make Media Matter invite you to the Texas premiere of The Way of the Rain – Hope for Earth: A Symphony for Our Planet, featuring Robert Redford’s final narration and spoken-word performance for The Way of the Rain.

Created and directed by environmental artist Sibylle Szaggars Redford, this immersive concert film brings together orchestral music, choral performance, visual art, and imagery in a celebration of Earth and a call to protect its future. It preserves the original performance featuring the Dallas Symphony Orchestra and Youth Choir, with music by Tim Janis and performance-film artistry by Floyd Thomas McBee.

Special evening in Dallas

Four years to the day after the performance at the Meyerson Symphony Center, the film returns to Dallas for a cinematic homecoming at the Dallas Museum of Art. Sibylle Szaggars Redford will give opening remarks, followed by a post-screening filmmaker conversation and audience Q&A.

Presented as part of EarthX’s HALF-EARTH DAY® celebration, in partnership with the Dallas International Film Festival.
