For Country and Community: Asian Americans in the United States Military
Historical exhibition honoring the generations of Asian Americans who have served in the United States military.
For Country and Community: Asian Americans in the United States Military is an exhibition commemorating the 250 years of military service and sacrifice by Asian Americans. This historical exhibit, held in conjunction with the Office of the Honorable Judy Chu, honors the generations of Asian Americans who have served in the United States armed forces. Curated and produced by Montgomery Hom, Emmy-nominated film director and historian who owns the largest privately held collection of AAPI military artifacts, this temporary pop-up exhibition will bring together personal stories, photographs, objects, documents, oral histories, and contemporary voices to illuminate a history that is both deeply American yet overlooked.
This exhibition is FREE and open to the public.
Registration on Eventbrite is required. However, entry will be on a first come, first served basis.
To enter the Rayburn House Office Building, visitors must pass through security and bag screening. Please have a government-issued photo ID (driver's license or passport) ready to show.
