Howl-O-Ween Pet Costume Contest for PAWS Chicago

Harry Caray’s Navy Pier invites you to celebrate spooky season this year with your pet in tow. Join us Saturday, October 31st from 11:30am-1:30pm for our annual Howl-O-Ween Costume Contest benefiting PAWS Chicago!
Furry, feathered, or full of scales – pets of all kinds are welcome to participate and compete for prizes in the following categories:
- Most Creative
- Cutest
- Spookiest
- Best Ensemble or Pair (human/pet or pet pairs)
- Grand Prize: "Best in Show"
Winners in each category will take home fang-tastic prizes including:
- A pair of tickets for a dog-friendly ride on the SeaDog speedboat (courtesy of City Cruises)
- Passes for the Navy Pier Ferris Wheel (courtesy of Navy Pier)
- A $25 gift certificate to Harry Caray’s Navy Pier, and more!
The Grand Prize winner for "Best in Show" will also receive a Navy Pier Stay-Cation Package, complete with a one-night stay at Sable Hotel, breakfast for two at Lirica, two tickets to a Chicago Shakespeare Theater performance of your choosing, a $100 gift certificate for dinner at Harry Caray’s Navy Pier.
Returning as our paw-some emcee and one of three contest judges is none other than Candace Jordan!
Entry is just $10 per pet, with all proceeds benefiting PAWS Chicago. Spectators—both human and pet—are welcome to attend for free!
Yappy Hour with Tito’s Handmade Vodka
Throughout the morning, Tito’s Handmade Vodka will host an on-site Yappy Hour featuring samples for humans, a treat bar for pups, a dog tag machine, pet swag, and more! As a sponsor of this year’s event, Tito’s is also contributing to the prize packages and making a generous donation directly to PAWS Chicago. Contestant Check-In
The check-in table will be near the patio entrance at Harry Caray's Navy Pier. Contestants may begin checking in as early as 10:45am and are strongly encouraged to arrive no later than 11:15am to ensure you have enough time to get settled in and prepare your pet for the runway. Guest are more than welcome to arrive early to eat and hangout on the patio with their pet beforehand or check out the Yappy Hour table hosted by Tito's Handmade Vodka.

"Dress Rehearsal" & Opening Remarks
This isn’t a formal dress rehearsal, but rather a chance for participants to put the finishing touches on their pets’ costumes and get ready to hit the runway! Our lovely host, Candace Jordan, will kick things off with a few opening remarks and explain how the contest will work before calling participants up one by one to strut their stuff on the catwalk.

SHOW TIME!
Each contestant will have a chance to strut their stuff on the runway and show off their costume to the judges and spectators. Once all contestants have had their turn, the judges will deliberate and select a winner for each category. Winners will then be invited back to the runway one at a time to accept their prizes and pose for a photo with the judges.
