A free 30-minute online session for New Yorkers in their 20s and 30s on finding community as an adult, and how the Adulting group works.
Your 20s and 30s come with a lot of firsts: first real job, first lease, first time realizing your family's way isn't the only way. Finding your people after school is one of the hardest parts, and nobody teaches you how.
Adulting 101 is a free, 30-minute online session from NYC Counseling. You'll:
- Meet Valerie Herman, MSW-I, who leads the Adulting group
- Talk about why building community as an adult feels so hard, and ways to start
- Hear how the 8-week Adulting group works and who it's for
- Ask questions (cameras optional)
About the group: Adulting meets online on Thursdays, 6–7pm ET, from Nov 19 to Jan 28 (8 sessions, with holiday weeks off). It's $75 per session and open to adults 18+ living in New York. Coming to the info session doesn't commit you to anything.
Already know the group is for you? Register here by Monday, Nov 16: https://forms.gle/XwmVuLqgUJWQk4oM6
This session is educational and isn't therapy. If you're in crisis, call or text 988.
