Amapiano and Gqom on the Roof with DJ Tira

HOWARD HOMECOMING WEEKEND ON THE ROOF. THE KING OF DURBAN IS COMING TO DC.

Amapiano and Gqom on the Roof with DJ Tira. Homecoming weekend in DC is the biggest weekend of the year, and we are celebrating it on the ONYX rooftop with a true South African legend.

DJ Tira is a legend of South African dance music. For more than 20 years, Mthokozisi "Tira" Khathi has shaped the sound of Durban, from kwaito to gqom to afro house. He founded Afrotainment in 2007, helped launch acts like Big Nuz, and built one of the most important party labels South Africa has ever seen.

These are the songs that make the whole room lose it. Thank You Mr DJ. Gibela. Sikilidi. Amachankura. He is a SAMA winner, a Metro FM Award winner, and the man behind Durban's biggest party culture.

On Saturday, October 17, AmapianoDMV brings DJ Tira to ONYX Rooftop Lounge for one night only during Howard Homecoming weekend. If you have ever been to a Tira set, you already know. If you haven't, this is the one. The kind of night people talk about for months. Don't be the one who missed it.
