Meet And Taste With Barbaresco Winemaker Enrico Nada

Meet And Taste With Barbaresco Winemaker Enrico Nada

Overview

Reserve your free spot at the CBC Tasting Table with Enrico Nada of Barbaresco’s Giuseppe Nada winery!

Want to taste what Antonio Galloni in Vinous called “some of the most expressive artisan wines in Piedmont”? Including two stunning, single-cru, Barbaresco and some great value Nebbiolo, Dolcetto and more? With the man who made the wines? All for free?

Sure you do! So, right now, reserve your spot at the CBC Tasting Table with us on Thursday, October 22. Enrico Nada of Barbaresco’s Giuseppe Nada winery will be here and sharing:

  • Giuseppe Nada Langhe Bianco 2025
  • Giuseppe Nada Dolcetto d'Alba 2023
  • Giuseppe Nada Langhe Nebbiolo 2024
  • Giuseppe Nada Barbaresco Casot 2021
  • Giuseppe Nada Barbaresco Marcarini 2023

The Nada family has been on hill of Barbaresco’s Casot cru since 1900 and built their first winery and began bottling wines there in 1967. Under Enrico’s leadership, farming is organic, sulfur usage minimal, and the wines utterly compelling.

The Langhe Bianco blends Arneis and Sauvignon Blanc with a splash of Favorita (a.k.a. Vermentino) to create a wine that’s aromatic, textured, and wildy fun to drink. The Dolcetto is juicy, mouthwatering, and a 300 case per year rarity. The Langhe Nebbiolo comes from young vines in the Marcarini cru, select Barbaresco vines that deliver lots of perfume when picked fresh and early, and/or declassified Barbaresco. There’s a purity here that’s lovely and generous fruit, too.

The two Barbarescos earned 92 and 92 points each from Wine Enthusiast and are at least that good! Casot is the family’s home vineyard where a full southwest exposure is moderated by elevation. Pretty, sweet, red berry fruit already shows a touch of rose petal and the tannins, while full and firm, are elegant and balanced by the flowing fruit. On the other side of the hill from Casot, the Marcarinni vineyard is cooler and Nada’s plots are in the coolest spots of all.. Both wines are compelling!

Production of Enrico’s wines is always small (which is one reason you’ll see more wines from the “other” two Nada families of Treiso) and hard to find. But once you taste them and meet Enrico, we think you’ll agree they are worth the hunt. Just RSVP now for this very exciting, free, Piemonte tasting!
