Manae Solara Vaughn will facilitate an in-depth discussion of how music is mastered and what happens day-to-day in a mastering studio. Participants can expect to walk away from this lecture with a clear understanding of what mastering is and how to present mixed music for mastering. Advanced sound practitioners will gain insight into mastering techniques that may be useful in finishing self-produced songs.

Artist Bio

Manae Solara Vaughn is a recording artist, touring musician, & audio engineer. She has been an Assistant Mastering Engineer at Chicago Mastering Service since 2023. Her bands “oux”, “Tenci”, and “dmb the etymology” showcase her talents as a multi-instrumentalist songwriter & producer. She was trained in music composition & live sound at Columbia College Chicago.
