About the book: Set in 1936 Birmingham, Alabama, The Owner’s Box is the first book in a fictional trilogy exploring the ambition, ownership, and legacy of Negro League Football™ during an era of racial barriers and extraordinary Black achievement. Through the world of the Birmingham Hammers and the Harrisburg Trojans, this story brings a little-known chapter of American sports history to life through family, power, and the pursuit of opportunity.
