Herning Church Boys’ Choir Concert (Herning Kirkes Drengekor)

Herning Church Boys’ Choir at the Ursuline Church of the Holy Trinity

We warmly invite you to join us for the new season of the Sacred Music Series at the Ursuline Church of the Holy Trinity in Ljubljana.

Opening concert: Herning Kirkes Drengekor (Denmark)

The opening concert will welcome one of Denmark’s oldest boys’ choirs, Herning Kirkes Drengekor. The choir brings together around fifty boys and young men and is based at the church in Herning, where it takes part in services throughout the year. It also performs concerts around the world, delighting audiences with its distinctive boys’ sound and varied repertoire.

Under the direction of conductor Asbjørn Damgaard Faleide, the choir will combine works from Europe’s sacred heritage with the musical tradition of Danish and Scandinavian composers.

The Danish singers will be joined by two Slovenian boys’ ensembles: Fantovski zbor 1. letnika Škofijske klasične gimnazije, conducted by Tine Bec, and the boys’ section of the Mladinskega mešanega zbora sv. Stanislava, conducted by Damijan Močnik.
