Discovering Japanese Tradition and Culture Through Sake

An Exclusive Experience to Taste, Learn, and Connect Through the World of Japanese Sake

Join us for a special evening exploring Japanese culture and the traditions of sake, while enjoying a selection of carefully curated Japanese sake. We are pleased to welcome an instructor who, alongside her career as a CPA, runs a sake import business and online educational programs. Through an engaging tasting experience, participants will learn the fundamentals of sake, as well as the history, culture, and craftsmanship that lie behind Japan’s centuries-old sake-making tradition.

As we approach the end of the year, we invite you to gather around a selection of sake from breweries whose products are not often encountered even in Japan. Enjoy their distinctive aromas and flavors while deepening your understanding of Japanese sake culture and sharing the experience with fellow participants. The second half of the evening will feature a networking session, providing an opportunity to meet new people and build meaningful connections. We hope this will be an enjoyable occasion to discover Japan through sake and foster new connections along the way.

This event will be conducted in both Japanese and English.

Founder, SakeTrend

While raising a family, I built a diverse business career in finance and asset management before working as a Certified Public Accountant (CPA). Driven by my passion to support small, artisanal Japanese sake breweries and preserve their traditional craft, I founded the online sake boutique SakeTrend.com. As a certified Sake Sommelier, Sake Educator (SSI), and Sake Scholar, I regularly curate unique, first-of-its-kind collaborative events across California—going beyond traditional food pairings to combine sake with luxury timepieces, JDM car culture, Sound Baths, and Jazz. Beyond simply introducing sake, I actively work as an educator and sake sommelier, sharing new cultural experiences and the stories behind every bottle.
