2-Day Facilitation Training For Organisers
Do you feel out of your depth facilitating your meetings? Concerned about clashing personalities, political disagreements, or how to ensure everyone’s perspectives are heard? If you’re part of a social movement group in London, whether you are new to facilitating, or want to deepen your skills – this 2-day workshop is for you!
As a grassroots facilitation and training collective, we've learnt a thing or two about meetings. And with so much organising and mobilising to be done across many fronts, we want to equip more people to feel ready and confident to facilitate meetings in their groups and campaigns. This full weekend workshop will provide the opportunity for deeper practice, so please sign up if you’re available both days.
Aims of the weekend:
- Build confidence to facilitate meetings in our groups
- Practice key facilitation skills such as:
- Designing agendas for fruitful meetings
- Working through disagreement
- Supporting decision-making in alignment with your values
- Building a toolkit of facilitation tactics, to keep your meetings engaging and effective
What kinds of meetings might this be useful for?
- Day to day / regular meetings in campaign or community groups
- One off meetings
This isn’t aimed at:
- Facilitating a large gathering or conference
- Facilitating a group conflict or mediation
