Project Hail Mary

Followed by a conversation with directors Phil Lord & Christopher Miller

Going above and beyond for humanity is not what Ryland Grace (Ryan Gosling) signed up for. More content to hide in a classroom teaching high school science, Grace is thrust quite unwilling into space as Earth’s last hope for survival. Guided by a no-nonsense terrestrial leader in the form of Eva Stratt (Sandra Hüller in a show-stopping performance) and an exuberant extra-terrestrial partner in the form of Rocky (brilliantly performed and voiced by James Ortiz), our hero will discover if he has what it takes to save himself–and the rest of us in the process. Directed with wit and wonder by Phil Lord and Christopher Miller, based on the bestseller by Andy Weir.

2026. USA. Directed by Phil Lord, Christopher Miller. Screenplay by Drew Goddard, Andy Weird. With Ryan Gosling, Sandra Hüller, James Ortiz. DCP courtesy Amazon MGM Studios. 156 min.
