𓋹𓍑𓋴 Egyptian Yoga: “Tjef Sema Paut Neteru” System Workshop 𓋴𓍑𓋹

Immerse yourself in the ancient spiritual practice of Kemetic yoga, guided by Nane Kahle, who works with Kemetic yoga, music, somatics and holistic health. She studied medicine and biology before learning from an African healer and a Peruvian shaman, and now follows the practice of Sema Tawi. The session she shares is inspired by one of the ways it was practised in ancient Egypt.

What is Tjef Seem Paut Neteru?

Tjef Sema Paut Neteru is an ancient practice that traverses a stream of consciousness flowing through dimensions — past, present and future — with the power to transform our reality. With its emphasis on conscious breathing, it brings a different light to the connection between mind, body and spirit. It is a powerful somatic technique that draws out the importance of balance within oneself on multiple levels, building awareness of your inner world in a way that celebrates your autonomy in cultivating inner strength and peace.

What to expect?

A session combining conscious breathing and meditative postures, taught with a safe and mindful approach. The sequence offers a range of movements, and the decision to stop at any point, or to take more time with a particular posture or movement, is always yours. The practice differs from a conventional yoga class in two ways: it places the emphasis on the science behind each movement, for a safe practice, and it uses mostly simple postures. The practice of Kemetic yoga, or Sema Tawi, is a great help in managing stress. It brings spiritual balance, inner peace and a greater sense of well-being, as well as improved physical fitness, respiratory function and circulation. It supports the body in its natural healing process, helps the organs work at fuller capacity, rebalances the structure of the body, eases physical fatigue, aids detoxification, and strengthens both body and mind. Open to all levels; beginners, advanced practitioners and professionals. The session runs between sixty and ninety minutes, depending on how long we hold each posture, so there is time to move slowly, to rest, and to stay with whatever asks for more attention.
