ABOUT THE FILM:
In 1967, 25-year-old Meg Crane quietly sparked a revolution by inventing the first home pregnancy test—an idea so radical, it would take a decade of resistance, backlash, and cultural upheaval before it ever reached the shelves. Set against the backdrop of the women's liberation movement, the sexual revolution, and Roe v. Wade, A Tiny Revolution traces Meg’s unlikely journey from graphic designer to cultural lightning rod, as she faced political push back, religious outrage, and a medical establishment unwilling to give up control over women's bodies.
With the help of a surprising alliance—a progressive reverend and a handsome advertising exec—Meg’s invention finally launched in 1977, forever shifting how women engaged with their reproductive health. The pregnancy test was never supposed to be political—until she made it personal.
One tiny device empowered millions —and created a revolution for bodily autonomy that still turns today.
