This special performance brings together father and son Dylan and Pappy Doyle for a rare evening of music and family connection.
Dylan Doyle has spent more than a decade building a reputation as a dynamic guitarist, vocalist and songwriter whose music blends roots, rock, funk, R&B and Americana. Based in New York, he has performed across the country, earning attention for his fiery guitar work, soulful vocals and ability to move easily between intimate songwriting and high-energy live performance.
His musical path began early. By his teens, Dylan was already touring and performing at major festivals, and over the years he has developed a sound shaped by blues, soul, jazz, Americana and the many musicians and communities he has encountered on the road.
For this special concert, Dylan will be joined by his father, Pappy Doyle, for what is believed to be their first public performance together.
Pappy has deep roots in music, although he has not performed publicly for many years. Today, much of his connection to music happens from the other side of the stage as co-owner of Second Chance Coffee and Music in Shullsburg, Wisconsin.
Opened in 2019, Second Chance has grown into a community gathering place and live music destination, drawing audiences from throughout the region. Live music has been a central part of the business from the beginning, and Pappy has helped create a welcoming space where touring musicians and local audiences can connect.
The father-and-son performance offers something audiences do not often get to experience: a chance to hear two generations of the same musical family sharing the stage, with Dylan’s road-tested musicianship meeting the musical roots that helped shape him.
For Pappy, the evening marks a return to public performance after many years away. For Dylan, it is an opportunity to share the stage with his father in a way they have never done publicly before.
That combination makes this much more than another concert. It is a one-time musical conversation between father and son, built on family, memory, shared influences and a lifelong connection to music.

The potluck is optional, but is a great chance to connect others in the audience and maybe even share a meal with the artist. It also helps ensure the artist isn't having to have a meal from a gas station. We'll provide the plates, bowls, silverware, napkins, and, if you need it, serving spoons. Feel free to bring anything you'd like--an entrée, appetizer, dessert, or drink to share. Bring something you will enjoy eating, because if you enjoy it it is likely others will as well.
