Halloween Carnival Austin: Carnival of the Forgotten
A carnival closed long ago - tonight, it opens one last time.”
For one evening, a forgotten midway returns to East Austin.
Carnival of the Forgotten is a limited-capacity Halloween gathering created by The Wandering Carnival Co, combining vintage carnival imagery, atmospheric installations, playful activities, unusual reflections, and small moments of discovery inside an intimate art courtyard.
This is not a large festival.
Attendance is intentionally limited so guests can move comfortably between activity areas, explore at their own pace, take photographs, and enjoy the setting without the atmosphere of a crowded public fair.
The evening is divided into two distinct sessions.
The early Family Twilight Session offers a lighter atmosphere suitable for families with children.
After a scheduled reset, the courtyard reopens for the After-Dark Session, designed for guests ages 18 and older with lower lighting, deeper atmospheric styling, and a quieter late-evening mood.
