A Taste of Somalia with Samosa House
Come hungry. Samosa House is opening its doors in Ypsilanti for an evening built around the food, flavors, and hospitality of Somalia and East Africa.
Samosa House is a Somali and East African halal restaurant, and this dinner is a chance to taste what we're about, together at the table. Expect crisp samosas, slow-simmered curries, fragrant rice, fresh salads, and Somali chai, served the way we'd serve guests at home.
What to expect
- A shareable menu of Somali and East African favorites, with halal chicken and vegan options
- Signature dishes like our samosas, various meat and vegan curries, honey garlic cilantro chicken, and soup and salad bar with plenty of options
- A drink and dessert bar with Somali chai, smoothies, soft drinks, and mango passion lemonade, plus varieties of Somali desserts (milk cake, rosie cheesecake, basbusa) with fruit salad
- A welcome from the Samosa House team and a bit of the story behind the food
