Anti-racism and Resistance: Lessons From History

Anti-racism and Resistance: Lessons From History

Overview

Join Faiza Shaheen in conversation with historian and journalist Taj Ali

Join Faiza Shaheen live at the Pankhurst Hall, Woodford Memorial Hall for this month's in conversation on Monday 26 October.

Faiza is joined by historian, journalist and former Tribune editor Taj Ali to talk about his new book, Come What May, We’re Here to Stay: The Story of South Asian Resistance.

In an important counter to the racism growing once again in our society, Ali's book tells the inspirational story of how the South Asian community organised against racism in the past and how it continues to fight in the present.

Join us to consider how the radical political activism of the past can help us shape the activism of the future!

The conversation will be followed by a Q&A.
