Ženski krog: Staranje in starost / Women's circle: Age and ageing

I identify as queer/lesbian cis-woman, white, neurodivergent, and practice daily as a creative pagan, lazy yogi and dedicated lover of creative, inspired life. As an artist , facilitator, coach and entrepreneur, I have been active in performance, cabaret, music, visual arts since more then 20 years. My personal healing journey has been through embodiement, creativity and passionate interest in psychology and trauma-informed somatic practices. I believe in pussy power as a way of integrating the power lost by womxn and FLINTA in the partiarchal society.I am dedicated to empowering other womxn and pussy bearers to tap into their own power through my art, Let my Pussy Speak workshops and Downpour parties.

English belowA te je kaj strah staranja? Kak odnos imaš do svojega telesa in njegovih sprememb skozi čas?

ENGLISHAre you afraid of ageing? What do you grieve, what do you fear, what do you look forward to? How do you relate to your body and its changes over time? How do you feel about the way others see you?In this women’s circle, we’ll explore ageing and age, a subject that carries quite a lot of weight for some of us. If ageing doesn’t worry you, and perhaps even brings you joy, you’re welcome too. The purpose of this circle is to share our experiences and feelings, and offer a supportive space to connect with ourselves, our fears, questions and emotions. We’ll explore different female archetypes across the stages of life and the roles associated with them, which gave meaning to each stage. My wish for us is to step into our power, feel rooted in our bodies, and find beauty and meaning in our present. To free ourselves from society’s prejudices and imposed, learned patterns about what our age means, both for our bodies and for our lives. We’ll also create a ritual to celebrate our ageing and our maturity. We are infinite, wise, and carry within us every age we have ever been. The flow of the circleA circle usually includes somatic practices: intuitive movement, mindfulness, guided meditation or an inner journey, writing or creative expression (sometimes through voice), and conversation or sharing our experiences. This women’s circle will focus more on dialogue, in the tradition of feminist women’s circles of the 1970s. It will still include ways of connecting with ourselves and our bodies, awareness of the nervous system and gentle, trauma-informed work.At the end, we’ll share some snacks and celebrate our different ages in a ritual with flowers, food and candles. What to bring

Comfortable clothes you can move around in a little

A bottle of water

Something to write with, such as a notebook and pen (we’ll leave our phones outside the space)

Something to celebrate yourself with and use in the ritual, such as a flower that represents you or that you simply like. You can also bring other natural elements: stones, crystals, acorns, twigs 🙂

A small snack to share

About meI’m Noemi, an interdisciplinary artist, performer and writer/poet.For several years, I’ve been facilitating a series of workshops and circles for women in which we connect with our bodies (Let My Pussy Speak). In recent years, I’ve found it increasingly difficult to celebrate my birthday and tell people how old I am. That’s why I decided to create a circle specifically around ageing for women. I believe that coming together will help us all find something that brings relief and new inspiration for how we relate to our age, our bodies and the passing of time.Contribution and bookingThe event is based on voluntary contributions. The suggested contribution is €15-30. If you can’t afford this amount, contribute what you can.Places are limited, so I recommend securing your spot here emailing me at maison.noemika@gmail.com.
