Kid Andersen produced Tia Carroll's You Gotta Have It at Greaseland in 2021, and the record earned a Blues Music Award nomination for Soul Blues Album the following year. Charlie Hunter played guitar on it, Jim Pugh played organ, and the Sons of the Soul Revivers sang behind her.
It came out on Little Village as her first American studio record, after years spent working rooms in Brazil and Italy and fronting her own band around the Bay. Two sets of soul and gospel fire on Mason Street, and seats go fast.
