A 3-hour hands-on workshop around sound, music and creative exploration.
Sandbox is a space for experimentation, where we can try different approaches, step outside our usual ways of working and learn from each other.
For this first session, we’ll work with a shared pool of sounds and other material, combined with visual inspiration and a series of open-ended exercises. Everyone will take things in their own direction, following what they hear, feel and find interesting. The idea is to see what happens when you work with material you didn’t choose yourself, and let it take you somewhere a little different from your usual way of working.
We’ll share what we create and see how differently the same material can be approached. You might pick up something from someone else’s interpretation, notice a detail you hadn’t thought about, or simply hear things in a different way. It’s a chance to make sound freely, without a fixed plan or a specific idea of where it should go.
