I Saw the Sign: Reverse Gilding and Sign Painting on Glass

Dates & times: December 5, 10 am - 4 pm and December 6, 10 am - 4pm

Explore the art of reverse gilding and sign painting with Morgan Peterson. In this introductory workshop, students will learn traditional and contemporary sign painting and water gilding on glass. Topics will including water gilding with gold foil, painting techniques, and the application of special effect materials.

All materials and tools are provided, you need only bring your willingness to explore this timeless technique. Each student will leave with a small finished piece.

No previous experience is necessary. This workshop will include a 30 minute lunch break. Students may bring lunch or visit the the nearby restaurants in Seattle's Pioneer Square.

Please note: This workshop is welcome to everyone ages 14+. Parents or guardians must sign up alongside participants under the age of 18.
