Something Dope: THE OPEN MIC - 7th Year Anniversary

Something Dope celebrates seven years with the open mic that made it, back at Catch One.

Seven years ago the first Something Dope was about a hundred people in a room on Hollywood Boulevard. Three years later we celebrated at Catch One with the biggest open mic we had ever run. We came back for Grammy week in 2023 with the room packed, and in 2025 the artist who won our open mic in this building performed at the LA Memorial Coliseum two days later with Rhyme Fest. Seven years comes home to the same room.

HOW THE NIGHT WORKS
Every ticket goes in the bucket. Write your name on it exactly how you want to be announced, drop it in at the door, and we draw live all night. The bucket decides who performs next. No list, no RSVP, no follower count, no booking anyone in advance. When your name comes out, you get the mic, a DJ, a full room and one song to make them remember you.

Some of the best sets we have ever had came from someone who walked in alone. Bring the song you believe in.

THE NIGHT
Wednesday October 28. Doors 7 PM, we run to midnight. Catch One, 4067 W Pico Blvd, Los Angeles. 18 and over. Cards only inside.

TICKETS
Early Bird $15, the first 100. General Admission $20, the next 200. Last Wave $25, online and at the door. Every ticket is an entry in the bucket, and the price only goes up.
