Indie Heads Mixtape Night

Indie Heads Mixtape Night comes to Yabangee Base on Friday 09 October, celebrating the songs that defined indie dancefloors, late-night drives, and countless homemade playlists. This session also features our community mixtape exchange!

From Arctic Monkeys, The Strokes, Yeah Yeah Yeahs, MGMT, LCD Soundsystem, and Phoenix to Robyn, M.I.A., La Roux, Passion Pit, and Metronomy, expect a carefully curated soundtrack spanning indie rock, indie pop, electro, blog-era classics, and everything in between. Whether you're there to sing along, discover forgotten favourites, or simply enjoy great music with like-minded people, the night is all about sharing a love of indie.

You'll also be invited to take part in our Community Mixtape Exchange. We'll provide paper and supplies, you'll handwrite your own 10-song indie mixtape, pin it to the community board, and before you leave, take home someone else's for your next listening session. It's optional but you're only eligible to take a mixtape list by leaving a mixtape list.

Leather jackets optional. Good taste required.

Important: Tickets include entry to The Clap English Language performance from 19:30 to 21:30 at the same venue.
