Korea didn’t inherit a centuries-old single-malt tradition. Bryan Do decided to start one.

After leaving the corporate world and helping ignite Korea’s craft-beer movement, Bryan set his sights on an even bigger challenge: creating the country’s first single-malt whisky distillery from the ground up.

The result is Ki One, a name meaning “the beginning and hope” and a whisky that isn’t trying to imitate Scotland, America or Japan. This is whisky shaped by Korea: its culture, its landscape and the brutal temperature swings between scorching summers and freezing winters. 🇰🇷🥃

On October 29th, Mission Control invites you to experience that story directly from the man who started it.

Join Ki One founder Bryan Do for an intimate guided tasting exploring the three cultures behind the distillery, the influence of Korea’s four seasons and the stubborn belief that a world-class Korean single malt didn’t just need to exist, it needed to make some noise.

The Ki One Experience

Guests will enjoy a guided tasting featuring:

🥃 Ki One Tiger
Representing Korea, this sherry-and-wine-cask expression brings ripe fruit, honey, caramel, butterscotch and warm spice.

🥃 Ki One Eagle
Representing Bryan’s Korean-American heritage, Eagle combines new American oak with bourbon casks for bold layers of caramel, vanilla, oak and cinnamon.

🥃 Ki One Unicorn
Representing the distillery’s Scottish influence, Unicorn uses peated malt to deliver smoke, earth, orange peel, honey and unmistakable Korean spice.

🥃 Ki One Signature
A rich, cask-strength expression matured in European wine and sherry casks, layering oak, apricot, banana, vanilla cream, cinnamon and Korean mint.

🥃 Mission Control Special Pour
A limited Ki One expression selected for the evening and poured outside the traditional tasting lineup. Because the most interesting bottle should never be the one everyone has already tried.

This is more than another whisky tasting. It’s an opportunity to sit down with the founder of a distillery making history in real time and taste the beginning of Korean single malt before the rest of the world catches up.

Seating will be intentionally limited. If you care about world whisky, emerging distilleries or being able to say, “I tried it before everyone knew about it,” this is your night.
