Salón Metropolis

A one-night-only experience of film and choreography.

Youngtale is proud to present its debut show "Salón Metropolis", a collection of works by creative duo Fernando Salazar and Chun Fung Kevin Chiu.

A spectacle of motion in short acts, “Salón Metropolis" weaves prerecorded video (Youngtale’s unreleased short films, trailers and a sitcom prototype) with special live performances and a roaming camera operator, all on the same stage. An opportunity to connect with our community and rediscover audiovisual storytelling completely off our phones.

Celebrating 10 years of friendship and collaboration Fernando and Kevin's work has fused choreography and film to tell stories about belonging, adversity and stereotypes through dance and comedy. These works were conceived and shot in this buzzing and loud city, which has frequently informed their musical choices and sound editing.
