The Designated Mourner, a reading
Actor and writer Wallace Shawn stages a reading of his acclaimed play, The Designated Mourner.
Reuniting the cast of Andre Gregory's production from 2000, Wallace Shawn, Deborah Eisenberg, and Larry Pine perform a reading of Shawn's seminal play.
"The play presents three characters living in a house together under an increasingly violent regime: a respected dissident poet, his loyal daughter who is also an intellectual, and the amusing man the daughter has married, whose position in the household is equivocal."
