Farmers of Blue Smoke: A Poetry Book Launch & Conversation on Nepal's GLOF
Join poet, writer & international development expert Homraj Acharya for a reading & talk on Nepal's 2026 GLOF. Proceeds aid survivors.
Join us for the launch of Farmers of Blue Smoke, a new collection of poems by Homraj Acharya, followed by a conversation on the 2026 Glacial Lake Outburst Flood (GLOF) in Nepal.
Farmers of Blue Smoke explores land, labor, memory, and resilience through poetry rooted in place. This event brings poetry and dialogue together, beginning with a reading from the book and followed by a conversation on the impact of recent glacial lake outburst floods (GLOF) in Nepal, the growing climate risks facing Himalayan communities, and the ways people rebuild, remember, and adapt in the aftermath of disaster.
