DOWNPOUR: DREAMSCAPE.
You wake with a lost taste in your mouth, a dreamscape you couldn’t have dreamed up with your eyes open. Your outstretched hands touch a red velvet curtain and become birds in flight. The world around you is a song sung low and sweet, a shadow that moves, a drag queen in a calico blouse. The air gets thin and your eyelashes turn into a chorus of dancing girls, legs in fishnets, high-kicking into eternity. Take a breath. Have a drink. Slap yourself silly. Whatever. You’re here, after all. Might as well let the night wash over you.
