Talise & Thuya Boivin Live

Join us for an evening of live bluegrass, Americana, old-time, and roots music featuring touring act Talise & The Deer Flies + Thuya Boivin. Talise and The Deer Flies ( f.t. Tynan Caine and David Lacalamita) are a Canadian folk group weaving country folk, blues, old-time, and bluegrass into a raw and haunting sound. Having toured throughout Canada and the UK, their music is deeply rooted in northern landscapes, old traditions, and the restless spirit of the troubadour.With banjo, fiddle, guitar, and warm, powerful vocals, the British Columbia-based duo delivers intimate performances marked by grit, grace, and timeless storytelling. Their sound feels at once weathered and alive: deeply traditional, yet distinctly their own. They have shared stages with artists including Sierra Hull and Willi Carlisle and are currently preparing the release of a forthcoming label-supported EP.

Thuya Boivin will be playing with fiddle player Matthew James. Thuya is aprofessional banjo and guitar player based in Montreal, Quebec, deeply embedded in the Canadian folk, old-time, and bluegrass music scenes. Boivin performs both as a solo artist and as a core collaborator across multiple string bands and musical ensembles.

Together, Thuya Boivin and Talise offer an evening of intimate performances, traditional influence, and songs that feel both weathered and alive.
