Immerse yourself in New Orleans 19th century holiday traditions with the Hermann & Grima families. As you stroll through the property and learn of Christmas & New Year's Day traditions along with the Battle of 1812 and how it played in observing the holidays as a Creole New Orleanian, you will take in all the holiday splendor from the vibrant decorations to the tantalizing food & drink that would have been enjoyed by these families & their guests. This tour will also teach you about the work that it took behinds the scenes to bring these celebrations to life.

Following the tour, guests are invited to a special reception in the twinkling courtyard, where our 19th century fully functioning open-hearth will be roaring, creating a warm and festive atmosphere. Enjoy a historic cocktail called Sangarée, as you relax and soak in the charm of the season.
