What items can I bring?

Furniture and decor. And please limit the total items you bring to what can fit in the trunk of a small car. Think mirrors, art, vases, chairs, lamps, etc. NO household items like kitchenware, appliances, linens, clothing, electronics.

What items aren't allowed?

No household items, e.g., kitchenware, appliances, linens, clothing, electronics. No extra large items that you would need a moving truck to transport.

Question 3

What condition should items be in?

Accepted Answer

Clean and in decent shape, in condition that you’d be happy to give to a friend. Please don’t treat this as an alternative to putting it in the trash.

Question 4

What happens to items that don't get swapped or sold?

Accepted Answer

You can take as much as you want home with you, including your own items that weren’t taken. The rest will be donated to The Other Side Furniture Boutique.

Question 5

How does swapping work?

We’ll do one round of each person taking 1 item, after that it is a “free-for-all” and take as much as you want.

What if two people want the same item?

Be kind adults and work it out between yourselves. Might we suggest rock, paper, scissors.

Selling: How much can I sell?

Up to 3 items. (little items like vases and small artwork we might be able to allow more, but try to limit it to 3. If you have questions, email brie@re-living.co)

Selling: How do I price my items?

We'll provide stickers at check-in. Write your price and Venmo handle on each one. Check out comparable pricing on Facebook Marketplace and other resale websites.

Selling: How do buyers pay?

All payments go through Venmo, directly to the seller.

Selling: Do I need to stay with my items?

Accepted Answer

This is up to you, if you stay with your items then you won’t be able to check out and ‘shop’ the other items. We trust our community to do the right thing. We are not responsible for any items that are taken without payment.

When can I drop off my items?

Bring them with you at 3 PM, we’ll set up for the first 30 minutes. Please show up on time.

Question 12

Where do I park and unload?

There is street parking and we’ll do our best to block the parking spots in front of the salon for people to bring in their items.

Question 13

Will someone help me carry my items?

Accepted Answer

We’ll have dollies available to cart, but please make sure you’re able to lift on your own.

Question 14

How do I get my purchase home?

Accepted Answer

You are responsible for transporting your items at the end of the event, the salon will not store items for pick up later.

Question 15

Can I come shop even if I don't have  anything to swap?

Accepted Answer

Please bring one thing! Even if it's just a little vase or little piece of art work, please bring something small.
