5Rhythms Berlin | Saturday Conscious Dance: x-dance with Samar Linn
A guided 5Rhythms dance in Berlin with kick-ass music, movement and space to explore. no choreography, no performance, no experience needed.
For you
You want to dance — but maybe not in a club.
You want good music, space to move, and somewhere you can arrive exactly as you are.
Maybe you want to release some tension from daily life. Maybe you miss dancing. Maybe you’re curious what happens when there are no steps to learn and nobody to impress.
x-dance is a space to move, sweat, explore, slow down, get curious and reconnect with yourself through dance.
Maybe you’ve danced 1000 times. Maybe never.
Come alone or with someone. Move big, move quietly, take your time.
No previous dance or 5Rhythms experience is needed.
What happens at x-dance
We begin with time to arrive, warm up and find your own movement.
From there, I guide you through a 5Rhythms Wave — an arc of music that builds, shifts and eventually settles again.
There is no choreography and no specific way you are supposed to move.
Instead, you’ll be guided by an eclectic mix of music and movement prompts, inviting you to listen to your body, explore different ways of moving and follow what feels true moment by moment.
You can follow an invitation, adapt it, ignore it or take it somewhere completely different.
About 5Rhythms
5Rhythms is a movement practice and meditation created by Gabrielle Roth.
We move through five different qualities of energy — Flowing, Staccato, Chaos, Lyrical and Stillness — together forming one continuous musical “wave.”
There are no steps to learn and nothing to perform.
The dance itself is the practice.
Three things that you'll find in all of Samar Linn's spaces
Freedom to be
There are no right or wrong ways to move. You’re invited to explore your own movement, energy and expression without pressure to perform or “get it right.”
Invitations, not instructions
I offer impulses, questions and ideas to explore. The invitation is to follow what feels good, adapt or let my impulses go.
Presence
Dance becomes meditation in motion. As we bring our attention back to the body, the music and what is happening right now, we arrive into the present moment.

We Dance
Welcome + Introduction: After a guided warm-up through the body, we’ll have a general welcome and introduction to the theme for the evening before we go into the dance. Dance + Music: Let go of any preconceived notions you might have about dance. Unlike anything you’ve experienced before, there is no choreography or special moves in this space. The music is played in a form of a wave where the rhythms will rise to a crescendo and then gently fall – and you’ll get to discover how it feels to move to those beats, moment by moment. During the dance, you’ll be guided with some words of inspiration and invitations (never instructions) to enhance your experience.

Take it Further
Gathering after class: Once the official dance is over, we open the space for all who want to stay and connect. There will be snacks, opportunities for exchange and spaces for quiet reflections, too.
