Yogic Science Meditation Series: Mind, Gunas & Koshas (Beginner Friendly)

Overview

Yogic science for analytical minds: the mind, the 3 gunas & the 5 koshas. Beginner friendly, taught by a Reiki Raja Yoga Master.

Meditation and Yogic Science Class (Beginner Friendly)

How many times have you told yourself "I really need to start meditating"?

Most people never do — not because they lack discipline, but because people think they need to stop their thoughts in order to meditate.

The biggest myth about meditation? That you have to stop your thoughts.

In this series, we unlearn that. You'll discover how effortless meditation becomes when you learn to simply observe your mind rather than wrestle with it.

This series goes deeper than stress relief. Each evening we explore one map from ancient yogic science: how the mind actually works, why your energy and mood shift from day to day, and the five layers that make up who you are. The saints of India studied the mind like a science for thousands of years. We'll learn it in plain language, then feel it for ourselves in meditation.

Once you understand how your mind works, you stop being run by it.

Come as you are. No experience needed. Just bring an open mind.

Multiple Dates:

Thu | Oct 1st | 7:30-8:30pm — THE YOGIC MODEL OF THE MIND (Manas, Buddhi, Ahamkara & Chitta — the four parts of the mind, and why you are not your thoughts)

Tue | Oct 6th | 7:30-8:30pm — THE THREE GUNAS: Why Your Mood Shifts (Sattva, Rajas & Tamas — why you feel calm one day and restless the next)

Thu | Oct 15th | 7:30-8:30pm — THE FIVE KOSHAS: The Layers of You (from body to breath, mind, wisdom and bliss)

Each session has a different focus and stands on its own.

Learn the ancient technique of Kriya Yoga, lineage of Paramhansa Yogananda, explained in plain language for analytical minds. No experience needed.
