Question 1

How much does it cost to attend?

Accepted Answer

The Syracuse Actors Studio events are always free, although we rely on donations for our organization and our host, The Palace Theater. We have a donation hat at the door and a QR Code on this page and at the event for your generous contribution.

Question 2

Do you accept volunteers at your events?

Accepted Answer

Yes, we do if you want to donate your time. We do not offer volunteers anything special like payment or food, but we always appreciate the time, and the networking is a positive benefit that volunteers receive if they are interested in acting.

Question 3

Should we dress the part for this movie set in the 1940s?

Accepted Answer

Yes, you can come dressed in anything from that era or a character. We are close to Halloween, so consider this a "costume party" of sorts. Be as creative as you want. If you aren't going to act, then wear a costume anyways.

Question 4

Can I bring food or drink to the event?

Accepted Answer

No, the Palace does not allow outside food or drinks, but they have a nice concession stand with an assortment of snacks and beverages.

Question 5

Is there parking at the venue?

Accepted Answer

Find out parking details at the Palace Theater's website at https://www.palaceonjames.com/parking-information

Question 6

Do I need acting experience to attend this event?

Accepted Answer

No, you only need an interest in trying it. SAS is open to anyone interested in learning more about the creative field of acting.

Question 7

Are there sponsorship opportunities available to market my company?

Accepted Answer

We are always grateful for sponsors who want to promote their company through SAS events. Reach out to Joe Cunningham, President of SAS, at jcunningham3021@gmail.com or Laura Stisser at lastisser@gmail.com, VP of SAS. You can also buy a "sponsored ticket" instead of a free one, which helps SAS.
