A story from The Current, featuring legendary design editor Robert Rufino, Street Theater offers a look at his early work creating some of New York’s most memorable window displays. From fashion to luxury design, Rufino brought an inventive and theatrical approach to visual presentation that helped transform the storefront into a creative medium of its own. The film reflects on an influential chapter in New York design and the imagination, artistry, and sense of spectacle behind Rufino’s work.
Following the screening, guests are invited to stay for a Q&A exploring his career and creative perspective.
